Judgment :- 1. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2. This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to settle all the terminal benefits, with interest. 3. It has been stated that the petitioner was a sanitary worker in the second respondent panchayat and the she had been compulsorily retired from service, on 19. 2001, on medical grounds. However, her retiral benefits had not been settled by the second respondent till date. Therefore, the petitioner had submitted a representation to the respondents, requesting them to settle the retiral benefits due to the petitioner. However, there has been no response from the respondents. 4. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representation, dated 13. 2003, on merits, within a specified period. 5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, without going into the merits of case, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representation, dated 13. 2003, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if it has not been disposed of till date. The petitioner is directed to furnish to the second respondent a copy of the representation, dated 13. 2003, along with a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
