ORDER IA No.3 1. This interlocutory application has been filed to finalise the guidelines prepared by the Central Zoo Authority for revival/rehabilitation of the animals in derecognised zoos in the country. 2. The Member-Secretary of the Central Zoo Authority has filed an affidavit along with Annexure P-1 wherein it is stated that in total 509 applications were received in the Central Zoo Authority from different zoos, rescue centres and circuses. All the applications were considered by the Central Zoo Authority and in total 180 wild animals have been given recognition as "zoo" under Section 38-H of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 and 38 wild animals were found not requiring recognition by the Central Zoo Authority. It is also stated by the Central Zoo Authority that further action would be taken in the matter. 3. The Central Zoo Authority may continue to implement the policy. IA No.3 is adjourned for further directions.
