ORDER : 1. Rekha Narayan-petitioner has alleged in this habeas corpus petition that her daughter Priyanka Purnima alias Neeru has been kept in illegal confinement by Rajesh Kumar (respondent no. 5). She has prayed for production of her daughter Priyanka Purnima before the court and release from illegal confinement. 2. Pursuant to the direction issued by this court on 12.5.2008 it transpires that the concerned police official was not able to produce her on 16.5.2008. Today, Priyanka Purnima appears on her own. She is identified by Mr. Sunil Kumar, Inspector (Officer-in-charge), Patliputra Police Station, Patna who is present in court. 3. To our query, she stated that she was 25 years old and that she has been staying with respondent no. 5-Rajesh Kumar of her own free will and volition. She has denied any pressure by respondent no. 5 or that she has been illegally confined by him. 4. In the circumstances, we find no merit in the writ petition. Priyanka Purnima is free to stay wherever she desires to. 5. With the aforesaid observation, this writ petition is disposed of.
