Judgment :- 1 The petitioner is a minority School. The request of the petitioner School to upgrade the same as Higher Secondary School has been negatived. Challenging the same, the petitioner is before this Court. 2. Today, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that on considering the request of the petitioner School, the Chief Educational Officer, Dindigul by his proceedings in Na.Ka.3407/B2/07, dated 03.04.2009 has recommended to the 2nd respondent for upgradation of the petitioner School as a Higher Secondary School. Subsequently, by means of another communication in Na.Ka.3407/B2/2007, dated 13.04.2009, the Chief Educational Officer, Dindigul has made similar recommendation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that it would be suffice, if, a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to consider the said proposal submitted by the Chief Educational Officer, Dindigul within a time frame, so that the students could be admitted at least in the ensuring academic year. 4. The learned Special Government Pleader would submit that to consider the said proposal, the second respondent needs at least eight weeks, time. The said statement is recorded. 5. Having regard to the above position, without expressing any opinion, as to whether the petitioner School is entitled for such upgradation as sought for or not, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the proposal submitted by the 3rd respondent in proceedings in Na.ka.No.3407/B2/2007, dated 03.04.2009 and another proposal in proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 3407/B2/2007, dated 13.04.2009 and then to pass appropriate orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of 6 (six) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No. costs. Consequently, M.P.No. 1 of 2008 is closed.
