Judgment :- 1. This writ petition is filed challenging the order of the Housing Board dated 06.04.2009, whereby the petitioner was directed to vacate the quarters occupied by him in Door No.572/1, Mandavelipakkam. The petitioners mother-in-law was allotted with the said quarters, however, she died on 30.10.2000 and subsequently her only heir also died on 27.02.2009. The petitioner is the son-in-law of the original allottee. Now the petitioner seeks transfer of allotment in his favour and that has been rejected and the petitioner has been directed to vacate the premises and as per the impugned order, as on date, there is no provision for transfer and as per the policy of the Housing Board also the original allotment cannot be given to others on transfer. Rebutting this, no Government Order has been brought to the notice of this Court. However, taking into account the difficulties to be faced by the petitioner in getting alternative occupation, the petitioner is given three months time to vacate the said premises. With the above observation, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
