Judgment :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2. At this stage of the hearing of these Writ petitions, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if the petitioner is permitted to resubmit the request of the petitioner trust, for renewal of recognition to Srilasri Ramanatha Gnanadesika Swamigal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tiruvannamalai, in view of the fact that the said request had been returned by the Chief Educational Officer, vide proceedings No. Oo.Mu.En.5033/a4/2007, dated 01.08.2007, and the consequential order passed by the District Elementary Education Officer, Tiruvannamalai, dated 112. 2007, made in Na.Ka.Eu.4515/A4/2007. 3. The only reason stated by the respondents for returning the request of the petitioner is that the petitioner had not renewed the lease for the land in which the school buildings are situated. Therefore, it would suffice if the petitioner is permitted to resubmit the request for the renewal of recognition for the school, for the academic year 20052008, to the first respondent, within 15 days from today, and on receipt of such representation the first respondent is directed to dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified time. 3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had no objection, for such an order being passed by this Court. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, the petitioner is permitted to resubmit the request for renewal of recognition for the school, to the first respondent, within 15 days from today and on receipt of such representation, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders, thereon, on merits, and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks thereafter, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the impleaded party viz. His Holiness Sri-la-Sri Nachiappa Gnanadesigar Esanya Madam, represented by the Power Agent M.M.Meyappan. However,it is made clear that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
