Judgment 1. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2. By consent of the parties, this Writ petition is taken up for final hearing and disposal. 3. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner, dated 16.04.2009, for the grant of affiliation, to start D.T.Ed. Course, in view of the report, dated 09.07.2009 submitted by the petitioner institute to the first respondent. 4. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that the application of the petitioner, for affiliation dated 16.04.2009, had been deferred by an order, dated 20.06.2009, issued by the first respondent in Rc.No.6809/C2/2008 and the first respondent could consider the application for affiliation, in view of the compliance report, dated 09.07.2009, submitted by the petitioner only for the academic year 2010-2011. 5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, the first respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the application of the petitioner, dated 16.04.2009, for the grant of affiliation, for the academic year 20102011, in view of the compliance report, dated 09.07.2009, submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of the application, dated 16.04.2009, as well as the compliance report, dated 09.07.2009, to the first respondent, along with a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
