Judgment Prabha Sridevan, J. These appeals relate to the copyright in the films Gajini and February 14th. Against the interim order, these appeals have been filed. Now the parties have arrived at a compromise and the terms of the compromise is set out in the Memorandum of Compromise that is filed today. The parties are present viz., A. Chandrasekaran, Proprietor, Sri Saravana Creations, Mr. Ravikumar, Director of M/s. Geetha Arts, Division, Mr. A.R. Murugadoss, Film Director of both Hindi and Tamil films Gajini, Mr. B. Madhu Basi @ B.Madhusudan Reddy. We have asked them whether they have understood the terms of compromise and have affixed their signatures in the Memorandum of Compromise and they have acknowedged that they have consented to the terms of the Memo. 2. The Criminal Original Petitions which are connected with these appeals have also been listed today. The learned Public Prosecutor prays for time till tomorrow (22-12-2009) to get instructions, but the appellant/the first respondent/ the defacto complainant who is present here has no objection to quashing of the original petitions. The said orders will be passed on 22-12-2009. 3. These appeals are ordered in terms of the memorandum of compromise. In the result, C.S.No.749 of 2008 will stand dismissed and C.S.No.486 of 2008 will be decreed as prayed for. The sum of Rs.1 Crore which is referred to in paragraph No.2 in the memorandum of compromise will be dealt with as per the agreement between the parties in the same paragraph. 4. The documents mentioned in Paragraph No.6 of the memorandum of compromise shall be returned to the learned counsel for the appellant by the Registry on or before 23-12-2009. 5. The amount of Rs.4 Crores together with interest as agreed in Paragraph No.3 shall be returned by the Registry to the appellant as expeditiously as possible. 6. The memorandum of compromise shall form part of the decree. The appeals are disposed of accordingly. However, there will be no order as to costs. The connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
