Judgment :- (1.) Since the appellants have brought a demand draft of Rs.31,15,981/-, being No.785000, dated 27.11.09, drawn on State Bank of India, Service Branch, Calcutta, the entire amount involved in this appeal, we stay the operation of the order impugned till the disposal of the appeal. The learned Registrar, Original Side, is directed to encash the bank draft and invest the amount in short-term deposit in any Nationalised bank and to go on renewing the same until further order of this Court. Let the demand draft be handed over to the learned Registrar, Original Side for taking appropriate step. The application is thus disposed of. Since the application for stay contains all the relevant papers, we dispense with the filing of formal paper book. Let the appeal itself be listed in the hearing after a week. Since the respondents have entered appearance, the appeal be treated as ready as regards service. Affidavit of service filed today in Court be kept with the record. (2.) Urgent xerox certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
