Judgment :- The petitioner has come forward to file the present writ petition seeking for a direction to the first respondent to complete the departmental enquiry and to pass final orders based upon the charge memo dated 16.03.2004 and also to consider his detailed additional explanation dated 28.01.2008. 2. When the matter came up on 05.03.2010, the learned Additional Government Pleader was directed to get instructions from the respondents as to the maximum time limit that may be taken for disposing of the petitioners disciplinary proceedings. 3. Today when the matter was called, the learned Additional Government Pleader produced a copy of the letter dated 12.03.2010 sent by the Deputy Secretary to Government, Agriculture Department. In paragraph 2 of the order, it was stated as follows:- "2.In this connection I am to state that V.Gunasekaran, Agricultural Development Officer is one of the Accused Officer in the cluster case of P.V.Natarajan, VAO and others. The Accused Officers Tvl.M.Ganesan, P.V.Natarajan, S.P.Ramakrishnan and D.Chinnasamy had already filed WP before the High Court of Madras and the High Court in its order Dated: 11.2.2010 has given six month time (i.e.) upto 5.7.2010 to pass final orders in this case. Hence, the Additional Government Pleader may be apprised to obtain six months time in this case also in order to pass final orders in this regard." 4. In the light of the above, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner within a period of six months i.e., on or before 05.07.2010 and communicate the result to the petitioner. No costs.
