Judgment :- This Writ Petition has been filed praying to direct the respondents not to evict the petitioners without following the due process of law as contemplated under the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1906 from their residential buildings in Survey No.368, in so far as the petitioners concern situated at Johnrampalli Village, Bommikuppam Panchayat, Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District. 2. Counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondents stating that the petitioners are the encroachers occupying the lands which are classified as tank poramboke. However, it has been stated that the petitioners would be considered for allotment of alternate sites if they are eligible for the same. The eviction process would be started by the respondents only after following the procedures contemplated under the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905. 3. In view of the submissions made by the respondents in the counter affidavit, this Court is of the view that no further orders are necessary in the Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition stands closed. Consequently connected M.P. is closed.
