ORDER In Re: State of Andhra Pradesh 1. Pursuant to our order dated 13-9-20101 we have gone through the affidavit filed by the State of Andhra Pradesh dated 8-9-2010. We hereby direct the Principal Secretary, Finance, of the State to remain present in Court on 24-1-2011, at 2.00 p.m. We would like to know from him as to within what time the pending 23 proposals for court buildings and 16 proposals for residential quarters would be approved. 2. In the meantime, we direct the State Committee to furnish to this Court the details as to the number of courts to be accommodated in the court buildings as well as the number of Judges to be accommodated In the residential quarters to be constructed. 3. This order shall be sent by the Registry through email also. In Re: State of Karnataka 4. Vide order dated 13-9-20101, we had indicated that approximately 414 projects (court houses) were in the pipeline and 282 projects (residential quarters) are pending clearance (administrative and financial approval). We are further informed that some of the court houses are functioning through hotels. In the circumstances, we direct the Principal Secretary, Finance, of the State to remain present in Court on 24-1-2011, at 2.00 p.m. He shall inform the Court as to within what time the administrative and financial approval will be granted in respect of 414 works of court buildings and 282 works of residential quarters (as described/enumerated in the affidavit dated 1-10-2010). 5. In the meantime, we direct the State Committee to furnish to this Court the details as to the number of courts to be accommodated in the court buildings as well as the number of Judges to be accommodated in the residential quarters to be constructed. 6.
