Judgment :- This writ petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation, dated 06.10.2009, given by the petitioner, for the refunding of the excess interest of Rs.11,30,000/-paid by him, in respect of the loan, as per the government order, in G.O.No.2D-77, dated 22.07.2009. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.10.2009, is directed to be disposed off by the second respondent, on merits, within a specified period. 3. The learned counsels appearing on behalf of the respondents have no objection for such an order being passed of by this Court. 4. In view of the submissions made by the counsels appearing for the parties concerned, the second respondent is directed to dispose off the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.10.2009, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. The petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of the representation, dated 06.10.2009, to the second respondent, along with a copy of this order. However, it is made clear that this Court, by this order, has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. The writ petition is disposed off with the above directions. No costs.
