JUDGEMENT 1. It appears that as far back as in 2001, the District Compassionate Committee, Purnea had resolved to recommend the appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground on a Class-Ill post. The matter was thereafter referred to the Director from where it went to the Government. The respondents exchanged correspondences amongst themselves and after some correspondences a clarification was issued by the Government that the petitioner should be appointed in Collectorate. But still the appointment letter has not been issued to the petitioner. Becoming frustrated with the inaction of the respondents, petitioner has filed this writ application in January, 2007. 2. The respondents have shown further callous approach by not filing counter affidavit in this case till now. 3. The writ application is, therefore, allowed. The respondents are directed to issue appointment letter to the petitioner on a suitable post in terms of the resolution of the Committee and the said clarification of the Government within one month from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, if they are still operative.
