Judgment : This writ petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first and the second respondents to provide drainage and water connections to the commercial cum residential building, belonging to the petitioner, in Plot No.E-29, Door No.33, II Avenue, Besant Nagar, Chennai-90, comprised in S.No.153, T.S.No.5, Block No.53 of Thiruvanmiyur Village, without insisting upon the completion certificate/No Objection Certificate from the third respondent, based on the inspection report forwarded by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, dated 30.4.2009. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner had placed before this Court an order, dated 5.11.2009, made in W.P.No.22383 of 2009, wherein the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board had been directed to grant electricity service connection to the petitioners premises, based on the inspection report, dated 30.4.2009, filed by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority. This Court had directed the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board to grant electricity service connection to the petitioners premises, in view of the fact that the deviations in the construction of the building are only minor in nature. 3. Based on the said inspection report the petitioner is praying for a direction to the first and the second respondents to provide drainage and water connections to the commercial cum residential building belonging to the petitioner, in Plot No.E-29, Door No.33, II Avenue, Besant Nagar, Chennai-90, comprised in S.No.153, T.S.No.5, Block No.53 of Thiruvanmiyur Village, without insisting upon the completion certificate/No Objection Certificate from the third respondent, based on the inspection report forwarded by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, dated 30.4.2009. 4. The learned counsels appearing on behalf of the respondents have no objection for this Court, passing an order directing the first and the second respondents to provide drainage and water connections to the petitioners premises, as prayed for in the present writ petition. 5. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the parties concerned, the first and the second respondents are directed to provide drainage and water connections to the petitioners premises in Plot No.E-29, Door No.33, II Avenue, Besant Nagar, Chennai-90, comprised in S.No.153, T.S.No.5, Block No.53 of Thiruvanmiyur Village, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, without insisting upon the completion certificate/No Objection Certificate from the third respondent, based on the inspection report forwarded by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, dated 30.4.2009. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
