JUDGEMENT 1. Though this writ application was filed on 2.2.2010, no counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent University i.e. Veer Kunwar Singh University. Claim of the petitioner is that he is working on the post of Assistant Librarian and is enti- tled to U.G.C. pay scale of Rs. 8000- 13500 which is not being extended to him but his junior, namely, Ashok Kumar Singh has been given that benefit in terms of the notification dated 6.11.2009 annexed as Annexure-9 to the writ application. 2. Petitioner approached the Registrar of the University with his application making a grievance but no decision has been taken and communicated to him. Therefore, the present writ application. 3. This writ application is disposed of with a direction that let the Vice Chancellor of the respondent University take cognizance of the application of the petitioner dated 25.11.2009 (Annexure-10) addressed to the Registrar of the University pleading discrimination. Matter will be looked into by the Vice-Chancellor and an appropriate decision will be communicated to the petitioner within- a period of four months from the date of communication or production of a copy of this order. Needless to say that if petitioner is entitled to the benefit, appropriate steps will be taken to extend that benefit to him. If that is denied, reason thereof will be communicated by way of speaking order to the petitioner. 4. This writ application stands disposed of with the direction aforesaid.
