Judgment :- 1. The petitioner wasplaced under suspension by the second respondent by an order dated 24.09.2009 on the ground that a criminal case is pending against him and he was arrested on 24.09.2009. The criminal case is relating to demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.1,500/- from a co-workman Thiru.Gopal. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he was placed under suspension he has not been paid subsistence allowance. He made a representation dated 16.04.2010 to pay him subsistence allowance. Since no order was passed on the representation, he filed the writ petition seeking a direction to dispose of the same by the second respondent. 2. Notice of motion was ordered on 12.05.2010. 3. Heard Mr.A.Ilaya Perumal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Senthilkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondents. 4. Considering the nature of the prayer, a direction is issued to the second respondent to dispose of the representation dated 16.04.2010 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
