The petitioner has stated that he has given a representation, dated 16.12.2009, to the respondents, not to consider the shifting of the arrack shop, which was located at No.420/6, Bharathiyar Road, Karaikal, to the proposed place near the Karaikal bus stand. 3. At this stage of the hearing of this Writ Petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that the arrack shop in question, had already been shifted to the proposed place and therefore, the Writ Petition has become infructuous. 4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, it is made clear that it is open to the petitioner to challenge the shifting of the arrack shop in question, if so advised, in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
