Judgment :- This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner to issue a direction directing the respondents to fix the pay of the applicant in the scale of pay of Rs.950-1500 with effect from 01.06.1988 to 23.02.1989 and Rs.1,200-2040 with effect from 23.03.1989 and to award the consequential benefits. Since the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal was abolished, the O.A. was received by transfer and numbered as Writ Petition. 2. Both the petitioners were appointed as Craft Instructors in the year 1975 & 1979 respectively. Thereafter, they were transferred from one place to another place and they were given Selection Grade in the year 1988 and 1989 respectively based on the 5th Pay Commission. The petitioners made representations to fix the pay applicable to the post of craft instructors whereas, the scale of pay fixed was much lower. 3. The case of the petitioners were recommended by the first respondent to the second respondent, however with no benefit. In such view of the matter, O.A. has been filed in the year 1998 for the above stated relief. The counsel for petitioners states that he has no specific instructions as to whether the claim has been redressed or not. 4. If the grievance of the petitioners subsists as on today, based on the recommendation of the first respondent, the second respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders within a reasonable period of time. The petitioners are also permitted to make their further representation in this regard if required. The representation, if so made, shall be considered and disposed of within a period of two months from the date of receipt of such representations. 5. With the above directions, both the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
