JUDGMENT 1. - This is an intra-court appeal filed by the writ petitioner of Writ Petition No. 1658/2001 under Rule 134 of the Rajasthan High Court Rules against an order dated 11.04.2002 passed in the WP No. 1658/2001 by the learned Single Judge. 2. The appellant, a State employee working as DIG Police at the relevant time, filed a writ petition out of which this appeal arises essentially seeking for expungement of adverse remarks recorded in his service book for the period 1997-98. The writ petition was dismissed by the impugned order by the learned Single Judge. 3. Admittedly, on the date when this appeal was filed, the appellant was 58 years of age. He has since retired long back. 4. In view of the aforesaid admitted background where the appellant has retired long back and enjoying his retired life, we do not find any good ground to examine the merits or demerits of the case with a view to find out as to whether adverse remarks entered in his service book for the year 1997-98 are justified or not. In fact, no useful purpose would be served in going into this aspect at this stage. It is much more so when as a result of the dismissal of the writ petition, no adverse financial implications was suffered by the appellant after his retirement for want of any averment made by the appellant to this effect in appeal memo. 5. Accordingly and in the light of the foregoing discussion, we are inclined to dismiss this appeal on the aforesaid admitted events which have come into existence during pendency of this lis. 6. The appeal thus fails and is hereby dismissed. No cost.Appeal Dismissed. *******
