Judgment : O.A. was received by transfer and numbered as Writ Petition. 2. Petitioner having completed 10 years of service as selection grade police constable seeks certain benefits stating that he should be given selection grade status. In this regard, he made a representation to the first respondent Secretary to Government, Home Department on 9.12.1996 and to the Director General of Police on 22.4.1998. 3. The Original Application is of the year 1998 and the petitioner was 67 years at the time of filing the Original Application. Considering the long period of time that has been lapsed, the petitioner is given liberty to make further representation along with a copy of this order to the Director General of Police within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order or any other competent authority to consider his claim for service benefits if the representation has not been already disposed off. The Director General of Police or any other competent authority is directed to dispose off the representation within three months thereafter on its own merits. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
