Judgment :- 1. These writ petitions had been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to permit the petitioners to attend the 6th Semester classes of the second respondent college, commencing in the month of December, 2010. 2. The main contention of the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners is that the second respondent college had not maintained proper records relating to the attendance of the petitioners. It had been further stated that even though the petitioners had attended a number of laboratory classes they have not been taken into consideration by the second respondent college. The laboratory record had also been placed before this Court showing different dates on which the assignments had been signed by the lecturer concerned. It had also been stated that the attendance of the petitioners, in respect of the control system classes, have not been recorded, properly. 3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the second respondent college had placed before this Court certain records relating to the attendance of the petitioners in the various subjects. 4. However, in view of the contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners that there are a number of discrepancies in the records maintained by the second respondent college, this Court finds it appropriate to permit the petitioners to place all the necessary records before the second respondent college to substantiate their claims. The second respondent college shall consider the claims of the petitioners in view of the records placed by the petitioners and the second respondent college shall cross check the particulars from the records available in the college. Thereafter, it is for the second respondent college to pass appropriate orders thereon considering the claims made by the petitioners, within a period of seven days, after the petitioners approach the second respondent college. These writ petitions are disposed of, with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
