Judgment :- 1. This Contempt petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to comply with the order of this Court, dated 13.12.2001, made in W.P.No.2223 of 1996 and to initiate action against the respondents under the provisions of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the contempt petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents had filed a counter affidavit, dated 02.07.2010. Paragraph 10 of the counter affidavit reads as follows: "It is therefore submitted that since the petitioner has not given his consent for allotting a tenement in the multi storey tenements constructed in Thoraipakkam or in the Semmencheri Scheme Area, this Board is unable to comply with the orders passed on 13.12.2001 in W.P.No.2223 of 1996 for allotting a tenement to the petitioner." In view of the averments made in paragraph 10 of the counter affidavit, since, no further orders are necessary, this Contempt petition stands closed.
