Judgment :- This writ petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.2.2010, to extend the time for making payment of the amount due under the bill, dated 31.1.2010, in respect of the Service Connection No.HTSC No.317. 2. The learned counsels appearing for the respondent Tamil Nadu Electricity Board had stated that in case of belated payment the petitioner is liable to pay the belated payment surcharge, along with the amount due under the bill, dated 31.1.2010. 3. Accordingly, the petitioner is granted fifteen days time, from today, to pay the amount due under the bill, dated 31.1.2010, in respect of the Service Connection No.HTSC No.317, along with the belated payment surcharge that would be due on the said amount. Till such time, the respondents are directed not to disconnect the power supply, in respect of the Service Connection No.HTSC No.317. If the petitioner fails to pay the amounts, as stated above, it would be open to the respondents to take appropriate action, in respect of the Service Connection No.HTSC No.317, as per law. The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
