Judgment : 1. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsels appearing for the first respondent. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner for providing electricity service connection to the petitioners premises, bearing, Door No.33, Ramanuja Iyer Street, Old Washermenpet, Chennai, under Rule 27(4) of The Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004, The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had also stated that the first respondent, is refusing to give an application form to the petitioner, which is a prescribed format, for giving an application for the electricity service connection. 3. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to give an application form, required for making an application for electricity service connection, under Rule 27 (4) the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004,within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and on the petitioner submitting an application, before the first respondent, in a prescribed format, and on the payment of the necessary charges, the first respondent is directed to effect the electricity service connection, to the petitioner at Door No.33, Ramanuja Iyer Street, Old Washermenpet, Chennai,under Rule 27 (4) the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004 , within a period of four weeks thereafter. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
