JUDGMENT Kurian Joseph,J. Appellant is the petitioner in the writ petition. She has two grievances (i) granting of ad-hoc service as qualifying service (ii) seniority. The learned Single Judge has considered the case of the petitioner and has granted the benefit of ad-hoc service without break and followed by regular service as qualifying service for the purpose of increment and pension. The grievance in the petition is that the petitioner has not been granted the benefit of seniority. 2. The learned Single Judge has observed in the judgment that since the affected persons over whom she wants seniority have not been made party and since the petitioner has retired from service, the prayer in that regard has become infructuous. According to the petitioner, it has not become infructuous since the petitioner is entitled to notional benefits. That will depend on the fact as to whether any person who joined service after 1.6.1985 with continuous ad-hoc service and regularized thereafter, has been given seniority above the petitioner. In case, there is such junior, it will be open to the petitioner to point out the same before the second respondent and in which case, the matter will be duly examined by the second respondent and appropriate action to redress the grievance in that regard will be taken within a period of four months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment by the petitioner. 3. With these observations, the appeal stands disposed of, so also the pending applications, if any.
