ORDER : 1. On 18.7.2011, we had directed the Tamil Nadu Government and Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board to submit their comments/suggestions with reference to the NEERI report. In pursuance of it, TN PCB has submitted a status report and the State Government, through the Collector of Tuticorin, has submitted comments/report in regard to the ground situation. 2. As the report of Collector does not satisfy our direction to the State Government, learned counsel for the State Government submitted that the State Government will file its comments/suggestions with reference to the NEERI report. 3. We have perused the status report filed by the TN PCB. We direct TN PCB to file a synopsis specifying the deficiencies with reference to the NEERI report and suggest control measures that should be taken by the petitioner so that this Court can consider the direction to be issued for remedial measures which can be monitored by TN PCB. Learned counsel for the TN PCB stated that TN PCB will, accordingly, file a report on the deficiencies and the measures to be taken. 4. It is open to the original writ petitioners to point out what further measures that have to be taken. List on 6.9.2011. Interim stay to continue.
