JUDGMENT Rajiv Sharma, J. Mr. P.M. Negi, learned Deputy Advocate General has confined his submission only to the ground of interest from the date of compensation. It is now well settled that the interest has to be awarded from the date of the notification. 2. Consequently, the award passed by the learned District Judge at Nahan, District Sirmour in case Land Reference No. 35-LAC/4 of 2002, dated 6th March, 2003 is modified to this extent and interest shall be paid from the date of the notification issued under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act. Accordingly, the appeal is disposed of, so also the pending application(s), if any.
