JUDGMENT : Deepak Verma, J. We have heard the learned counsel for the parties. 2. Mr. Colin Gonsalves, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner undertakes to file a comprehensive format of affidavit by Friday, 23rd September, 2011. After the format of affidavit is provided by the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner, the Registry is directed to make adequate copies thereof for supplying the same to the counsel for the States/Union Territories. 3. Learned counsel for the States/Union Territories may collect the copy of the format of affidavit from the Registry from Saturday, 24th September, 2011 onwards. 4. We direct the States and Union Territories to inform the public about the availability of the night shelters through print media and electronic media, so that the poor and needy people may avail the benefit of the night shelters. 5. The Chief Secretaries of all the States and Administrators of the Union Territories are directed to file their affidavits in the said format, giving the latest position of the night shelters in their respective States/Union Territories, on or before 31st October 2011. 6. A copy of the affidavit be served upon the learned counsel for the petitioner before filing the same. I.A. No. 82 in W.P.(C) No. 196/2001: 7. Issue notice. 8. The respondents are directed to file their reply to this I.A. within three weeks from today, with an advance copy to the learned senior counsel for the petitioner who would be at liberty to file rejoinder thereto, if any, before the next date of hearing. 9. List all the I.As. for further directions on 2nd November, 2011.
