JUDGMENT Kurian Joseph, C.J. The writ petitions are filed mainly with the following prayer: “(i) That a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ or order may kindly be issued directing the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioner as Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) w.e.f. 1.1.2008 instead of 26.2.2009 and further the petitioner be held entitled for the consequential financial benefits and seniority etc.” 2. According to the petitioners, on completion of eight years of service, several similarly situated teachers including juniors have been regularized, whereas regularization has been delayed in the case of the petitioners by more than one year.
