Judgment :- 1. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents. 2. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, a counter affidavit, dated 07.05.2008, had been placed before this Court. Paragraph No.4 of the counter affidavit reads as follows: "4. It is submitted that the lease was granted to M/s.Senthil Aggregates and Cement Products for quarrying rough stone and gravel in S.F.No.67 of Palathurai Village for a period of five years from 27.02.2006 to 26.02.2011. There is no lease granted for S.F.Nos.32, 33, 68, 50/3, 64/2, 66 and 34 as stated by the writ petitioners. Hence the averments of the writ petitioners are not correct." 3. In view of the averments made in paragraph No.4 of the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondents, since no further orders are necessary, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
