Judgment :- 1. Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records of the second respondent in No.Lr.No.SE/CEDC/N/HT/ AAO/R/A.5/F.1793/D 1124/11 dated 21.2.2011 and quash the same as illegal, arbitrary and against the Regulation 6 of Tamil Nadu Electricity Supply Code 2004. 2. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents electricity board. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 3. The Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned demand letter dated 21.2.2011 wherein the respondents authority, demanded some amounts for restoration of HT electricity supply. Petitioner challenges the sum of Rs.18,04,000/- demanded under the head monthly minimum charges from the date of termination of agreement (i.e.) from 26.12.2010 to 25.2.2011. 4. Petitioner pleads that the basis on which the sum of Rs.18,04,000/- has been calculated has not been explained and arbitrary. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned counsel appearing for the respondents electricity board points out that if the petitioner has any doubt on the bill, then the petitioner may approach the authority. The claim of the petitioner is disputed and the respondent counsel states that the doubt if any will be clarified on representation. 5. In view of the above, liberty is given to the petitioner to make a representation along with a copy of this order to the second respondent Superintending Engineer, who shall consider the representation on its own merits and dispose of the same within two weeks from the date of receipt of representation. The second respondent authority shall give the petitioner a personal hearing in the matter. 6. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
