JUDGMENT Kurian Joseph, J. Heard. The delay in filing the review petition is condoned. The application is disposed of. The review petitioner is the writ petitioner. The issue pertains to the claim for compassionate appointment. This Court took note of the factual position in the reply that the death of the father was in the year 1982 and on that date apart from the eligible benefits granted to the family, the mother of the petitioner was also in Government service. According to the petitioner, the Government was empowered to relax the rigour of the policy and the Director should have referred the matter to the Government. In case the petitioner is not satisfied with the stand taken by the Director, it is for him to approach the Government. The review petition is disposed of, so also the pending applications, if any.
