The writ petition is filed with the following prayers:- “i) That the respondents may kindly be directed to grant higher scale to the petitioner as Pump Operator firstly on 1-10-1983 and for the second time on 1-10-2007 when he completes 8 and 32 years service as Pump Operator. ii) That the respondents are also prayed to be directed to fix the pay of the petitioner by giving the benefit of Proficiency Step-up and then under the Assured Career Progression Scheme by giving increment after each 8 years of service i.e. 8,16,24 & 32 years. iii) That after proper fixation of his pay at each stage, he may also be held entitled to arrears right from 1-10-1983 onward.” 2. It is seen that annexure P-5, representation is pending before the second respondent. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that instead of adjudicating the matter on merits, a direction be issued to the second respondent to decide representation (Annexure P-5), which is pending before him. Hence there will be a direction to the second respondent to look into the same and take appropriate action therein in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of production of a copy of this judgment along with the copy of the writ petition, by the petitioner. 3. The writ petition is disposed of, so also the pending application(s), if any.
