Judgment :- 1. Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to pass orders on the application dated 4.3.2011 submitted by the petitioner for renewing the lease to run the Modern Pay and Use Latrine in the Mecheri Bus Stand for the period 2011-2012 in accordance with G.O,.Ms.No.181 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 19.9.2008. 2. Mr.S.Shivashanmugam, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 3. Petitioner made an application on 4.3.2011 for renewal of lease to run the Modern Pay and Use Latrine at the above stated place. Since no order has been passed, the writ petition has been filed. 4. Learned Government Advocate states that the authority will proceed the matter purely in accordance with law and the petitioner cannot claim the renewal of lease as a matter of right unless the law permits the same. 5. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 4.3.2011 acknowledged on 7.3.2011 on its own merits and purely in accordance with law. It is made clear that the Court has not expressed any view on the claim made by the petitioner. Such exercise shall be done within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
