Judgment :- 1. Writ Petition No.7441 of 2011 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to process Application Nos.209011185, 209011186 & 209011189 and provide electricity connections and energize the same, to the dwelling houses of the petitioner at Plot No.6/A,Door No.4 (Old Door No.54) Bishop Garden Road, Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai 600 028 without insisting for the production of the 'Compliance Certificate' from the third respondent. 2. Writ Petition No.7442 of 2011 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to process Application Nos.209011187 and 209011188 and provide electricity connections and energize the same, to the dwelling houses of the petitioner at Plot No.6/A, Door No.4 (Old Door No.54) Bishop Garden Road, Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai 600 028 without insisting for the production of the 'Compliance Certificate' from the third respondent. 3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 in both writ petitions. Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the third respondent in both writ petitions. 4. The relief sought for in both the writ petitions is one and the same. Hence, by consent of all parties, both the writ petitions are taken up together for final disposal. 5. Petitioners in both the writ petitions claim that they have completed the building and seek electricity supply. Earlier for water supply and sewerage connection petitioner in W.P.No.7441 of 2011 filed W.P.No.17068 of 2010 and by order dated 2.9.2010, the respondents 1 and 2 were directed to provide water and drainage connection based on the inspection report given by the third respondent. 6. In view of the above, both the writ petitions are allowed directing the respondents 1 and 2 to effect electricity connection forthwith on payment of necessary charges. No costs.
