body2011
ORDER Heard Mr. Nand Kishore Prasad for the petitioners, Mr. Suryakant Kumar, learned Assistant Counsel to Standing Counsel No.19 for respondent nos. 1 and 2, and Mr. Anil Kumar Sinha for respondent nos. 3 to 7. This writ petition has been preferred for a direction to the respondent authorities to make payment of arrears of salary and other money claims of the petitioners. According to the writ petition, the petitioners were appointed as class III and class IV employees on temporary basis in the Allama Iqbal College, Biharsharif, District- Nalanda. They were allowed to work for some time, and were discontinued. It appears to us that the respondent College is not ‘state’ within the meaning of Article 12 of the Constitution of India. The writ petition is, therefore, not maintainable. 2. The writ petition is dismissed.
