JUDGMENT Kurian Joseph, C.J. These writ petitions are filed with the identical prayers, one set of such prayers is as follows:- “(A) That this writ petition may kindly be allowed and writ in the nature of mandamus may be issued to the respondents that respondents department may be directed to extend the benefit of daily wager status to the petitioner on the completion of 10 years of daily wage services as per the law laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court with consequential benefits.” 2. The petitioners are working as Revenue Chowkdars. The State government in its wisdom has framed a scheme to grant daily waged status to the part time workers, on 27.2.2004. The respondents are directed to consider the cases of the petitioner(s) for giving the status of daily wagers within eight weeks from today in the light of above scheme. The writ petitions stand disposed of, so also the pending applications, if any.
