JUDGMENT Kurian Joseph, C.J. The writ petition is filed with the following prayers: “(a) That the impugned action of the respondents in not paying the grants-in-aid already released and not releasing the grants-in-aid for the remaining period till date may kindly be quashed and set aside. (b) That the writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction may kindly be issued directing the respondents to release the grants-in-aid w.e.f. 1.4.2007 onwards till date along with interest at the rate of 9%.” 2. It is for the Government to consider the matter. The writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to look into the matter adverting to the submission made in the writ petition on merits and take appropriate action in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition by the petitioner. The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that similarly situated persons have been granted the benefit as a matter of policy will also be considered while taking the decision, as above. 3. The writ petition is disposed of, so also the pending applications, if any.
