Judgment :- 1. Writ Petition No.7668 of 2011 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 2.3.2011 issued by the petitioner favourably and renew the existing lease in respect of the shop bearing No.1 for further period. 2. Writ Petition No.7669 of 2011 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 2.3.2011 issued by the petitioner favourably and renew the existing lease in respect of the shop bearing No.2 for further period. 3. Writ Petition No.7670 of 2011 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 2.3.2011 issued by the petitioner favourably and renew the existing lease in respect of the shop bearing No.5 for further period. 4. Mr.S.Shivashanmugam, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondent in all the writ petitions. The relief sought for in all the writ petitions is one and the same. Hence, by consent, all the writ petitions are taken up together for final disposal. 5. Petitioners are licensees of individual shops as above in the respondent municipality. They stated that the term is to expire by 31.3.2011 and sought for renewal of licence on payment of appropriate charges. In this regard a representation has been made by each petitioner on 2.3.2011. 6. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for, the respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 2.3.2011 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law on or before 31.3.2011 if there is no other impediment. All the Writ Petitions are disposed of as above. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
