Judgment :- 1. Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide electricity connection to the petitioner's house situated at 5/140, Mahalakshmi Nagar, V.P.G. Avenue, Mettukuppam, Chennai-49. 2. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents electricity board. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 3. Petitioner submitted an application along with indemnity bond for providing electricity service connection to the respondents authority and the authority is refusing to consider the same. 4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that the petitioner should approach the authority along with a copy of this order and the authority will consider the claim of the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law. 5. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents and considering the nature of relief sought for, petitioner is directed to approach the second respondent along with a copy of this order. The second respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner for domestic electricity supply, if the petitioner complies the requirement as per the provision of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above. No costs.
