Judgment :- 1. Writ Petition No.7765 of 2011 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the third respondent in proceedings Ka.No.A.E.E/O&M/Mettupatti/Ko-kattu/A.No.375/11 dated 10.2.2011 and quash the same and direct the first respondent to issue suitable directions to the third respondent to give free electricity connection to the petitioner based on the proceedings in Ka.No.E.E.E/O&M/Manapparai/Va.Vu/Ko.Vi.Vaa/Aa.No.1001 dated 28.10.2010. 2. Writ Petition No.7768 of 2011 is filed praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the third respondent in proceedings Ka.No.A.E.E/O&M/Mettupatti/Ko-kattu/ A.No.375/11 dated 10.2.2011 and quash the same and direct the first respondent to issue suitable directions to the third respondent to give free electricity connection to the petitioner based on the proceedings in Ka.No.E.E.E/O&M/Manapparai/Va.Vu/Ko.Vi.Vaa/Aa.No.997 dated 28.10.2010. 5. Mr.P.Srinivas, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 electricity board in all the cases. Considering the nature of order to be passed in all the writ petitions, the notice to the fourth respondent in all the writ petitions is dispensed with. 6. The relief sought for in the four writ petitions is one and the same. Hence, by consent of both the parties, the four writ petitions are taken up together for final disposal. 7. All the four petitioners claim to be in occupation of the land belonging to the fourth respondent temple. They seek electricity service connection. In this regard, petitioners made individual representation dated 7.2.2011 to the respondents 1 to 3.

The third respondent issued the impugned letter dated 10.2.2011 stating that there is an objection from the fourth respondent's counsel and the petitioners should come in person along with all necessary documents. Counsel for the petitioners pleads that they have paid all the arrears of lease amount payable to the fourth respondent temple and they will show proof for the same to the authority concerned as directed in the impugned letter. 8. In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to reconsider the representation and make an enquiry after putting the fourth respondent on notice and decide the claim of the petitioners in accordance with law. The petitioners are directed to produce all the relevant documents as required by the third respondent immediately along with a copy of this order. The decision on either way should be taken after hearing both the petitioners and the fourth respondent on or before 18.4.2011. 9. The Writ Petitions are disposed of as above. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
