Judgment :- 1. Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.2.2011 to effect the correction in the death certificate of petitioner's mother (i.e., "Indirani alias Kaliammal") as requested in the representation. 2. Mr.V.Bharathidasan, learned counsel, takes notice on behalf of the respondent. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for disposal. 3. Petitioner seeks correction in death certificate of his mother. In this regard, petitioner made a representation on 17.2.2011 and that representation has been duly acknowledged by the respondent. 4. Considering the nature of relief sought for, the respondent or the duly authorised officer is directed to consider the representation dated 17.2.2011 and deal with the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. The Writ Petition is ordered as above. No costs.
