JUDGMENT Deepak Gupta, J. 1. The petitioner by means of this petition has prayed that he be given proficiency step up in terms of the Assured Career Progression Scheme framed by the State Government. 2. The scheme envisage that after 8 years of service the employee shall be granted one proficiency step up and after completion of 18 years of service if the employee working in the same scale of pay then one additional increment shall be granted. 3. The petitioner is an ex-serviceman and has been given civil employment against the vacancy reserved for ex-servicemen. He has got promotion in the army and therefore, cannot claim proficiency step up by counting the service rendered in the army. Therefore, I find no merit in the petition, which is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
