Judgment :- 1. At this stage of the hearing of the writ Petition, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents had submitted that if the petitioner had paid 50% of the tax due, the goods in question may be released, as per the orders passed by this Court, on 16.12.2010, in W.P.No.28080 of 2010. 2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that the petitioner had paid a sum of Rs.23,906.25, by way of a Demand Draft, on 21.12.2010 and the second respondent had acknowledged the same, in his Notice No. G.D.No.79/RS-III/C/2010-2011, dated 23.12.2010. In such circumstances, the second respondent is directed to release the detained goods, forthwith, if the sum of RS.23,906.25, had already been paid by the petitioner. This Writ Petition is ordered accordingly. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
