JUDGMENT Kurian Joseph, J. The writ petition is filed with the following prayer:- “(i) Writ in the nature of mandamus may kindly be issued for directing the respondent to allow the benefit of promotion to the petitioner from the due date i.e. from 27.12.2003 i.e. from the date his junior has been promoted, from the post of Line Man to the post of Foreman along with consequential benefits.” 2. According to the petitioner, his juniors have been promoted as Foreman and yet, his case has not been considered. It is also submitted that he is on the verge of the retirement. There will be a direction to the second respondent to look into this aspect and take appropriate action in accordance with law. If he is found eligible and entitled for promotion, needful action for promotion shall be taken within a period of one month from the date of production of a copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition by the petitioner before the 2nd respondent. 3. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of, so also the pending application (s), if any.
