Judgment :- 1. At this stage of the hearing of the writ petition, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner had submitted that the petitioner had already paid 50% of the tax demanded. Therefore, he prays that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 28.1.2010, without demanding any further payment of the balance amount of tax. 2. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing for the parties concerned, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal, dated 28.1.2010, filed by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, without demanding payment of the balance amount of tax from the petitioner. The writ petition is ordered accordingly. No costs. Connected M.P.No.1 of 2011 is closed.
