Judgment :- 1. This writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from arresting the petitioner based on the circular, dated 16.06.2005, issued by the first respondent. 2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3. In view of the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition and in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the respondents, this Court does not find sufficient cause or reason to grant the relief, as prayed for by the petitioner, in the present writ petition. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner on a mere apprehension that the petitioner would be arrested, even before the enquiry report had been submitted, as per Section 81 of the Tamil Co-operative Societies Act, 1983. Hence, the writ petition stands dismissed. No cost. However, it would be open to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings issued by the concerned respondent, if any, before the appropriate forum, in the manner known to law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
