Judgment :- 1. The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to call for the records of the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in BE4/1036/2007 dated 29.7.2008 and quash the same and thereby direct the respondents 1 and 2 to appoint the petitioner as Assistant in Noon Meals centre at Panchayat Union Primary School, Arumalai Village, Mugaiyur Panchayat Union. 2. Heard Mr. N.Suresh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S.Shivashanmugam, learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2. 3. The petitioner claims that she is a widow and states that she has applied for appointment to the post of Assistant in Noon Meals Centre in Villupuram District. The petitioner is aggrieved by the appointment of fourth respondent by proceedings dated 29.07.2008 in gp,4/1036/2007 stating that the fourth respondent is not a widow and she is not entitled to be appointed to the said post. 4. The fourth respondent has been served and there is no appearance. The District Collector has also not filed a counter affidavit so far. Since the claim involves verification of records relating to the appointment, without going into the merits of the case, the petitioner is given liberty to make a detailed representation along with a copy of this order to the District Collector/secfirst respondent and the District Collector is directed to consider the claim of the petitioner with regard to the allegations regarding the appointment of fourth respondent and pass a reasoned orders on merits. 5. If the claim of the petitioner is justified, the District Collector proceed in accordance with law. If any action adverse to the fourth respondent is contemplated, it is incumbent on the part of the Collector to put the fourth respondent on notice. The District Collector shall proceed on the basis of representation of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
