Judgment :- 1. The petitioner B.Prabhakaran has come to this Court seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to reimburse the petitioner forthwith the medical expenses incurred by the petitioner towards the cancer surgery (Abdomino Perineal Resection-Abdominal Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salphingo Oophorecctomy) expenses of his wife Mrs.Sumathi as per G.O.Ms.No.194, Finance (Salaries) Department dated 16.03.1993. 2. When the matter was taken, Mr.T.Chandrasekaran,the learned counsel appearing for the respondents has stated that there is no difficulty in disbursing the medical expenses incurred by the petitioner, if the petitioner is making a proper representation addressing either to the first respondent or to the second respondent mentioning the correct date of surgery underwent by his wife by enclosing relevant documents, namely, the hospital as well as the other medical documents supporting the disbursement of medical expenses. 3. Since the petitioner has made representation to the Honourable Ministers, the respondents 1 and 2 are not in a position to redress the grievance of the petitioner. Therefore, this Court directs the petitioner to make a fresh representation either to the first respondent or to the second respondent. On making such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the said representation and pass orders on the basis of the G.O.Ms.No.194, Finance (Salaries)Department dated 16.3.1993 within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
